My name is Reza Amiri. I was born in Sari, Iran, and have lived in Germany since my childhood – a life between two cultures, shaped by movement, expression, and visual power. After two decades in the fashion industry, I gave space to my true calling: art. I have been painting since 1998, but it wasn’t until 2017 that I found my own style – unmistakable, powerful, and deeply connected to the human body.
My works depict figurative forms without faces – intentionally anonymized so that anyone can recognize themselves within them. Inspired by the aesthetics of the 1980s – from Rocky to martial arts – my paintings are a tribute to strength, discipline, and motivation. For me, fitness is more than a trend: it is an expression of our time. I see it as my artistic mission to capture this energy and preserve it on canvas – raw, dynamic, and emotionally charged. I look forward to exchange, networking, and new projects with like-minded people.
I mainly work with acrylic paint on canvas, often combining classical painting techniques with modern approaches such as glazing, layering, and luminous gradients. All works are personally dated and signed by me.
I possess extensive knowledge of acrylic painting and have specialized in figurative subjects as well as emotional color compositions. Other areas of expertise include presenting my works in galleries and digital spaces, building a consistent portfolio, and strategically using social media for art marketing.
I am a self-taught artist based in Mainz, specializing in figurative and color-intensive painting. My works arise from a deep need to make emotions visible and to explore the human body as a form of expressing inner states.
For several years, I have been working with acrylics on canvas, continuously developing my technique through experimentation, exchange with fellow artists, and consistent practice. I regularly participate in exhibitions and present my works both online and in physical galleries and pop-up shows.
I have already had the opportunity to showcase my works at numerous venues across the Rhine-Main region – from modern fitness studios to atmospheric jazz bars, historic wine cellars, and urban pop-up galleries. My art comes alive where movement, encounters, and emotions meet.
