JOE DATUIN (b. May 7, 1956, Pangasinan, Philippines) is a World Renowned Filipino International Visual Olympian and Monumentalist and a nominee to the Order of the National Artists of the Philippines in 2018.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 1977 where he was bestowed the Benavides Award in 1977 and The Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (TOTAL) Award in 2008, two of the university’s most prestigious recognitions in fine arts. He is also an alumnus of the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, USA, where he earned an Artist Residency grant in 2002.
